Deborah Slater Dance Theater is a professional dance & theater company dedicated to production of evening-length works exploring timely social issues. Founded by Artistic Director/Choreographer Deborah Slater, DSDT has been touring more than two decades.
in Civility: P. 1, Instability explores the volatile nature of the cultural experiment we are all living through at this crucial moment in history. Much of what makes the news these day's racial and political division, the challenging of social norms, the ever-present threat of warfare like echos from 50 year-old headlines. Clearly, technology has changed the way we take in and share information about our world, but has it changed us? What does civility mean in these current times? http://www.deborahslater.org/
One of the most exciting theatrical events in San Francisco Bay Area, the FURY Factory is a national hub for ensemble theater work on the West Coast. Staged every other year by foolsFURY theater company, it features: Mainstage productions of fully crafted works by some of the countrys most innovative, exciting theater makers, Raw Materials Polished sections of new works in development, Workshops in creation techniques led by participating artists and other master teachers, as well as panel discussions and more.
Once every two years, we stage an electrifying gathering of collaborative theater makers from around the country. We are thrilled to announce this years line up!
