Claudia Schmidt has been perfecting her craft of performing for almost four decades. It is a quirky and wonderful hodge-podge (her word!) of music, poetry, story, laughter, drama, and celebrating the moment. Work in clubs, theaters, festivals, TV, radio has added depth and dimension, and since she has always included her original work along with very personal versions of the work of others, what you get is a unique look at the world from someone who says what she sees with clarity, humor, and wonder.
Opening the show for Claudia is Port Townsends own big talent, Judith-Kate Friedman. Judith-Kate is a performing songwriter and folk/roots artist whose award-winning work celebrates liberation and transformation. Her songs, improvisations, and multi-media concerts are tapestries through which honesty, humor, grace, and groove dance like bright threads. With voice, guitar, piano, and percussion, she invites courage and tenderness, connecting us more deeply with each other and ourselves.

Northwind Arts Center welcomes Matt Miner Presents as a new partner in presenting live acoustic music in Port Townsend. MMP has been producing intimate concerts in the Portland area for twelve years, specializing in presenting touring artists from across the country and around the world.
