URBAN x INDIGENOUS IV: Unite the Tribes
UxI IV: Unite the Tribes seeks to re-commune, reconnect, and reorganize our urban indigenous family.  In our urban environment, we continue to witness the separation and displacement of communities of color, and the divisiveness that plagues our society as a whole. How do we unite across the borders that have been created for us to re-envision how we live together, how we resist together, and how we can achieve a way of solidarity that still celebrates our differences? UxI IV will present art, performances, and panels that aim to (re)unite our communities in strength and resilience.

H.O.L.Y. (Hate Often Loves You) City
UxI: Unite the tribes features the World Premiere performance of H.O.L.Y. (Hate Often Loves You) City.

H.O.L.Y. (Hate Often Loves You) CITY is an investigation of what it means to cultivate sanctuary in the sanctuary city (San Francisco/Yelamu). It takes an uncomfortably intimate look at the violence against people of color and how we keep ourselves/one another safe. We invoke ritual, performance, and community gatherings to bring light to these often overlooked stories and give voice to the ones who now watch over us.
