On April 17th, 1977, Led Zeppelin performed in Indianapolis at Market Square Arena. This was the band's final concert in Indy, and was part of their final tour of North America. The venue, Market Square Arena, was the host of thousands of concerts during its existence, and is also known for being the site of the last-ever concert by Elvis Presley (just two months after the Led Zep concert).
Market Square Arena was torn down in 2001, as part of an expansion of facilities in the downtown Indianapolis area. The stage from the arena was disassembled, and portions were purchased by various entities. Including the Irving Theater, site of this concert by Kashmir! The front section of the stage of the Irving Theater is in fact part of the stage from Market Square Arena. So yes, the stage on which Kashmir will perform is in fact part of the stage on which Led Zeppelin walked and performed in 1977!
Chicago-based KASHMIR performs music from Led Zeppelin's entire catalog including Led Zeppelin's classic movie, The Song Remains The Same.
KASHMIR does not take liberties with the music. Led Zeppelin should be played as it was using only the equipment of the era, and should be reproduced dead on with great respect and admiration.
