STAY PLASTIC with Rembert and The Basic Goodness

To celebrate the release of Stay Plastic, Rembert and The Basic Goodness will play all the songs on the record and give everyone a copy!

Stay Plastic refers to plasticity as a state of responsiveness, an aliveness that continuously forms and reforms itself with the synthesis of new information or new sensations. The admonition, Stay Plastic!, says to the listener, Remain alive and responsive to your environment!" Dont allow yourself to calcify, to solidify. Dont become rigid and brittle, unable to connect in a dynamic way. Stay Plastic! Remain malleable, remain supple, remain receptive. Stay curious. Stay Plastic.

Rembert and the Basic Goodness is a female-fronted, Brooklyn-based, accordion-forward art-pop band. Led by Rembert Block, accordion and lead vox, the band includes Russ Alderson on bass guitar and backing vocals, Jagoda on drums, and Jeff Hudgins on saxophone.
Rembert and The Basic Goodness songs have been described as being the most charming songs about the most terrible things. Blocks lyrics draw from personal experiences, overheard and observed experiences, and other texts (i.e. newspaper articles, published diaries). The tunes feel concurrently deep, whimsical and avant-garde, with quirky, intuitive rhythms and tonal shades of klezmer and Weill.

Seating at Pangea is communal. Other guests may be seated at the table. There is a $20 per person food or beverage minimum at the tables. DINNER SEATING BEGINS AT 6:00PM.

THE HOUSE OPENS ONE HOUR BEFORE THE SHOW. SEATING IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED.

Late arrivals will be seated at management's discretion.
