The Sema represents the stages of the mystical journey from unconscious immersion in the manifest world to the perfected human station of one dissolved in the Source. As the ceremony unfolds, any apparent distinction between audience and dervish vanishes as all are attuned, by the music and language of the Heart to the blessing filled atmosphere of love. Witness the majestic walk in the black robes and the transformation to the whirling white skirts. This ceremony is our prayer, calling down the blessings of the Divine Light, Love and Healing into our world.
Be part of this mystical ceremony which will be accompanied by master musicians and NW dervishes of the Mevlevi Order of America. These are real practicing Sufis under the guidance of our Postneshin, Jelaleddin Loras of Konya, Turkey.
Doors will open at 3:15. Allow time to find street parking.
