Renowned pianist Huizi Zhang takes the stage at the N'Namdi Center to present a combination of virtuosic piano works. The program will take the audience on a journey from the Romantic period up to the present day presenting works written by a diverse group of contemporary composers, featuring the world premiere piano and toy piano works by Gu Wei, Jacob Wilkinson, and Fabian Beltran.
Chinese-born pianist Huizi Zhang is an active performer of solo and chamber music throughout the United States and abroad. Zhang embraces a wide range of repertoire and musical styles, with a particular interest and concentration in 21st century music that has led her to work in partnership and premiere the music of a vast number of composers. In addition, Zhang has been the recipient of multiple performance awards and academic recognitions in the US and China. Recent recitals that encompassed the premiere of several compositions, at Brooklyn's National Sawdust, and Opera Center America in New York City.
Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 8 pm.
