SOA Flute Orchestra "Welcome Spring" La Cañada Concert
Song of the Angels Flute Orchestra is proud to present their spring concert featuring soloists Susan Greenberg and David Shostac on Domenico Cimarosa's Concerto in G Major; Paulette (Harp) and David Miller (flute)performing Piazzola's Oblivion; the popular Strauss Die Fledermaus Overture arranged by Tom Kennedy for Flute Orchestra; and many more selections. The orchestra also highlights the amazing large low flutes (the Roland Tso Posse) with the only F Contrabass flute in the world featured in Moonlight and Lassus Trombone.
The group welcomes fellow flutists in the area to join us in our closing piece, an arrangement of Lassus Trombones that features the contrabass flute section! All flutists who are able to perform with the SOA Orchestra are entitled to a 50% rebate on their ticket price!
A reception will follow the concert with refreshments and an opportunity to meet the orchestra!
