Hally tries to justify a life spent in pursuit of love by recounting her sexual adventures.

Hally wakes up naked under the sheets after a night presumably not spent alone, her smokey eyes now smudged, her voice raspy from gin and cigarettes. Having slept the day away and as the sun begins to set, she primps to return to the bar, the club, or the party and try anew to find something spectacular. Getting dressed piece by piece of clothing, Hally enumerates her lifes sexual encounters looking for a greater story to justify a life spent in the pursuit of love.

Hally McGehean makes fine, pop, and wearable art. Her clients include the Whitney Museum of American Art, Michelle Obama, and Oprah Winfrey. Her work has been photographed by Terry Richardson and Nick Knight and appeared in Playgirl, Teen Vogue, New York, Paper, Complex, and Bitch Magazines.

Before segueing into visual art, Hally was an actress for 30 years and had principal roles in the Broadway productions of Annie and Peter Pan. She had a hit Christmas single when she was 8 years old.

Hally studied philosophy at Columbia University and Shakespeare at the British American Drama Academy, Balliol College, Oxford.

Joe McGinty was the keyboardist for The Psychedelic Furs, is the founder and music director of the Loser's Lounge tribute series at Joes Pub, and co-owner of Sid Gold's Request Room in Chelsea.

McGinty has worked with Ryan Adams, The Ramones, Martha Wainwright, Devendra Banhart, and Ronnie Spector, was musical director of the Vineyard Theatre and the New York Theater Workshop, and composed and/or produced music for "One More Time", "Super Sleuths," "Bored To Death", "The Daily Show", "G String Divas," "The Virginity Hit," "Last Chance Harvey", and the Oscar nominated "What Happened, Miss Simone".

Ms. McGehean spoke of her mentor, the late Marica Lewis, Marcia used to say in her cabarets, If you cant hide it, decorate it. I say, If you cant hide it, dont. -Broadway World

Provocateuse and artiste Hally McGehean, labeled the Literary Lady Gaga, cites her youth in the late 70s and early 80s Times Square as informing her aesthetic: Theatrical, Mid-Town, Liza Minelli, Gay, New York City was half fishbowl, half hall of mirrors in 1980. Everything was either transparent or reflective. I was impressionable and in the center of it.. -Girlie Girl Army

As a teenager, Hally McGehean was the most glamorous person I knew. When I was 17 I was in love with her. Not a serious love. The kind of love a 17-year-old boy has for a woman in her twenties who wears cowboy boots and sundresses that reveal the freckles on the tops of her breasts. Freckle breast love. -Isaac Fitzgerald of The Rumpus, Buzzfeed

Downtown's intimate supper-club Pangea is the ultimate in alt, playing home to some of the best in alt cabaret. The New York Times recently called it a bohemian oasis not unlike the fabled Max's Kansas City from days gone by."
