Pianist Jenny Lin plays Philip Glass Etudes
On Friday evening April 20 pianist Jenny Lin plays as many of Philip Glass' magnificent Etudes as she can fit into one hour (concerts at 405 Shrader are never more than one hour in length).
On Saturday evening April 21 pianist Jenny Lin performs Philip Glass Mad Rush, Metamorphosis, the American premiere of a new Glass work plus a few more Etudes.
Jenny Lins concerts have taken her to Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Kennedy Center, MoMA, appearing at festivals such as Mostly Mozart, BAMs Next Wave, Spoleto/USA, Kings Place London, and the Chopin Festival Austria.
Her performances of the Philip Glass works for solo piano have earned critical praise "a gift for melodic flow (Anthony Tommasini, NY Times), remarkable technical command (James Oestreich, NY Times).
405 Shrader is San Francisco's intimate concert hall (44 seats) located at the eponymous address (just off the Panhandle at Golden Gate Park}.
