Weedpatch
Our 2018 Family Opera production will be Weedpatch. This first-ever NCFO commission, with music by Stanford Universitys Paul Phillips, and book and libretto by Grammy-winning storyteller Bill Harley, is set at the historical Weedpatch School, built and run by Oklahoma migrants, who show resilience and humor in the face of poverty and hostility from the settled Californians. Gorgeous music, many solo roles, lots of chorus singing and opportunities to dance - including hoedowns, of course!
