Artichoke Jazz Nite

Adrian Martin became enamored with jazz at an early age through the records of his great uncle. He plays guitar and sings all styles now. Hes an accomplished songwriter/composer/arranger. Adrian has performed around the globe from L.A. to Prague working with Tony Award winner Mark Holman and opening for Grammy winner Warren Zevon. Adrian Martin has brought music to peoples lives as a teacher for over 4 decades - currently hosting Adrians Music School and teaching at Artichoke Community Music.

Cheryl Alex is a virtuoso flutist with a beautiful singing voice and enviable piano skills. She records and appears with luminaries such as Nancy King, Randy Porter, Leroy Vinegar and Jerry Hahn. She is a dedicated educator teaching private lessons as well as vocal jazz workshops with 3 time Grammy nominated jazz vocalist, Nancy King.

Leah Hinchcliff plays upright bass and electric bass. She also sings and plays guitar and piano. Leah plays with the most successful groups in Portland, OR. (i.e. Soul Vaccination, Quadraphonnes). Leah graduated Magna Cum Laude from PSU in Jazz Performance on Bass. She gives back to the world of education and offers a Rock and Roll Camp for Girls. Benjamin Tyler plays drums as well as his accomplished skills in composition, production and electronic music. He has worked under Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Gunther Schuller. Ben currently teaches rhythm training at Portland Community College.
