An Evening with Motel Mirrors // January 26// 7 pm

Motel Mirrors will be performing at the mansion in preparation for their release of a full-length debut LP, In the Meantime, is due on Last Chance Records in March. But this is your chance to hear it and buy it early.

ABOUT MOTEL MIRRORS
In 2013, John Paul Keith & Amy LaVere formed Motel Mirrors a duet project born out of a mutual desire for new artistic challenges and what mightve just been a long overdue collaboration between two artists whose styles so clearly complemented one another. JP and Amy put out a 10 EP, Motel Mirrors. It was incredibly well received (named one of the 10 Essential Albums of 2013 by No Depression and selected as one of the best Memphis albums of the year by The Memphis Commercial Appeal) and they had a blast touring together to support it. Now theyve added noted Austin, Texas guitarist Will Sexton to the mix and with three songwriters and three singers, the dynamic and the possibilities have changed. Add to that trio Shawn Zorn and what was a duet is now a full band.

The Memphis Music Mansion is our home on E Parkway S. Once or twice a month we transform our living room into a listening room and host house concerts. Our mission is to use the space to celebrate Memphis and support local groups and individuals that are making it a better place to live, work and play. Motel Mirrors are certainly worthy and we hope you will reserve a seat and come support these talented folks who have worked really hard on their new LP, In the Meantime.

In the spirit of community supported arts, this event is BYOB and a Potluck buffet. We provide the cups and plates and ice and such and you bring your beverages and something for the buffet if you are able. (It's not mandatory to bring either).
