Vegan Mole Class
In this 2-hour class, I will show you how easy it is to make Vegan Mole and my mom's homemade tortillas. Afterwards, we will all enjoy a bowl of mole and tortillas hot off the griddle together in my neighbors beautiful kitchen.
What is Mole?
Mole is a traditional Mexican sauce usually served over meat. Its rich, brown color comes from various spices including cocoa powder In this class, we will adding veggies and tempeh to make a vegan stew-like mole served over brown/white rice and paired perfectly with your homemade tortillas. "The point of mole is the mole itself; anything served with it is secondary!" We will be adding cinnamon, cumin, chili powder, molasses, and cocoa powder to give it a warm, hearty flavor. Topped with avocados, cilantro and tortillas on the side.
Homemade Tortillas:
You will learn how easy it is to make homemade tortillas! Once you learn and try them, you may never buy package ones again. I will show you how to make the dough, and then you will roll them out yourself and cook them over a hot griddle.
