Join Smashworks Dance Collective for an evening of unique performance inspired by America's current political climate. FOR WHICH IT STANDS, an intermedia dance piece featuring original sound score and projection installation, employs 8 performers who brilliantly explore a frightening world of absurd speeches, useless walls, and little plungers for little hands. Consisting of 9 episodic pieces, this satirical work seamlessly blends humor and reality by exploring themes within the current White House, from twitter-driven alternative facts to the literal and figurative walls built by this presidency. Including cameos from woods-walking Hillary and puppeteering Putin, FOR WHICH IT STANDS invites the audience to confront contradictions of modern political discourse as dancers showcase the power of "nasty" women in the resistance against this administration's politics.
