Franz Acres Comedy Night

A great show for a great cause: The Franz Acres Building Fund. Featuring Mike Murray ("The Deaf Comic"), Dave Decker and Jason Merrill, presented by Scamps Comedy. And, a "Special Guest" may drop in.

Doors open at 7 and showtime is 8 at Franz Acres Hall, 9 Alfred Drive, Salem, NH. It's BYOB, and tickets are just $25 each ($20 cash at the door for police, first responders, active military).

Mike Murray, a.k.a. The Deaf Comic, tells one of the most interesting stories in comedy. Murray was hearing impaired until the age of 40. His cochlear implants brought him into the hearing world and onto the comedy stage where he shares his unique experience with laughter and an infectious smile. Sharing experiences and observations from childhood to parenthood, Murray blends story telling with one-liners that have audiences laughing all over New England. Hes been seen at The Cabot Performing Arts Center (Beverly), The Comic Strip in NYC, The Comedy Connection in Providence, Headliners in Manchester, and fundraisers all over.

Winner of the coveted 1975 Betty Crocker Award, Dave Decker brings his distinct point of view to the stage in a way that both engages and charms audiences. Decker has performed at clubs from Boston to New York City, and broke into theaters with well-received performances at the Shea Theater in Turners Falls, Colonial Theatre in Keene, NH, and the Ioka Theater in Exeter, N.H. His intelligent and clever humor, along with a unique stage presence, makes him one of Boston's comedians to watch.

Jason Merrill is the latest from a recent line of strong comedians from the great city of Lawrence, Massachusetts. He has impressed audiences with his streetwise style and good-natured exuberance. Drawing upon his own experiences, he finds the funny in everyday life. He has shared the stage with accomplished comedians such as Juston McKinney, Christine Hurley, Joe Yannetty, Dave Russo and Dave Rattigan.
