Small Business Lunch at Halls
The Hall Family is honored to present one of Charleston's most recognized names in fashion, Mary Norton, for our monthly Small Business Lunch at Halls, Thursday, January 10, 2013
Still Charleston's brightest star in international fashion design, Mary Norton is world-renowned for her whimsical and sophisticated Moo Roo handbags. Beginning in 1998, she grew Moo Roo into an international brand with an A-list celebrity following including Jennifer Lopez, Uma Thurman, Cameron Diaz and Halle Berry.
In 2004, Fashion Group International, Inc. and The Accessories Council named Mary Norton a rising star. And, in 2005, Inc. Magazine named Moo Roo among the fastest growing urban businesses in the United States.
She designed an entire collection of Mary Norton Shoes and opened a boutique on King Street. In 2007, Mary was honored with the prestigious Footwear News Launch of the Year Award for a ground-breaking year of growth and stellar design.
She's had successes (Mary's now a star on the Home Shopping Network) and she's had failures (that little bankruptcy thing in 2009) but this effervescent entrepreneur will enthrall you with her never-quit attitude and business acumen.
Each month, Small Business Lunch at Halls features a distinguished speaker from the business, civic or political arenas upstairs at Halls Chophouse with imaginative mid-day cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Matthew Niessner.
Tickets are $28 per person for the luncheon and parking. Doors open at 11:30 AM. Limited seating of 60 participants provides an intimate experience with each speaker.
Halls Chophouse is located at 434 King Street in downtown Charleston. Parking, validated at the event, is available at the Visitors Center Garage on Ann Street between King and Meeting Streets.
