George: A Love Letter to a Cold City
George is left behind at a Minneapolitan gas station by an interstate bus. What follows is a night of encounters with well-meaning strangers, low-level criminals, and an eager freelance tour guide. Unable to make a real human connection and constantly subject to the mischief of Luck, George tries to scrounge together enough money to buy a ticket out of town.
Director: Aswar Rahman (born March 14, 1994) is a Bangladeshi-American independent filmmaker. Rahman has written and directed six feature-length films and is the founder of Cineapolis, a filmmaking organization dedicated to increasing feature production in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2015, Rahman formed the Cineapolis coalition with actors and crew from the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The organization embarked on a dense production schedule of six films, all written and directed by him. Achilles (2015), Salone (2016), and The Best of India, Late at NIght (2016) are considered Cineapolis' first volume of productions. Rahman lives in Uptown Minneapolis.
