ABOUT FACE: Curators and Artists Talk
Moderated by Curators Scott Avett and David Kratz with exhibition artists Eric Fischl, John Alexander, and Lucy Winton

Join the About Face curators along with exhibition artists from ABOUT FACE to discuss their work in the intimate setting of our galleries. The talk will be followed by a live acoustic performance by Scott Avett and a reception sponsored by Ozymandias, Wine by Artists, for Artists.
Co-curated by musician and painter Scott Avett, lead singer of the folk-rock band The Avett Brothers, and David Kratz, president of the New York Academy of Art, ABOUT FACE features sculpture, paintings and photographs, and brings celebrated East End artists together with Academy artists to examine the diverse ways human beings are presented in the art of today. In the era of the ubiquitous selfie, this exhibition asks viewers to slow down and consider the story inherent in every human face.
