Rachel Barker and Dr. Bronwyn Ormsby
Mark Rothkos Black on Maroon 1958, one of the iconic Seagram murals which Rothko donated to Tate in 1970, was vandalised with graffiti ink in October 2012. It has since been the subject of detailed research and restoration project led by Rachel Barker, Paintings Conservator at Tate, along with Dr Bronwyn Ormsby, Principal Conservation Scientist at Tate, and Patricia Smithen, then Head of Conservation at Tate.
Stephanie Camu
Stephanie is currently overseeing the realisation of a major commission in St Pauls Cathedral for the artist Bill Viola and his partner and collaborator Kira Perov with whom Camu has worked for over a decade. She is the Chair of Artangel 2017. She has spent the past twelve years with Haunch of Venison and Blain|Southern galleries working closely with artists, organising and curating a diverse range of exhibitions and running myriad projects. Before moving into the arts, Stephanie worked in the television industry for the news and current affairs networks CNN and CNBC in London.
Antonio Rava
Antonio Rava is a conservator based in Turin where he has headed his conservation firm for over thirty years. He is the co-author of Conserving Contemporary Art: Issues, Methods, Materials and Research (Getty Publications, 2013). Since the advent of the avant-garde in the early twentieth century, visual artists have adopted new techniques and materials, some of whose characteristics of aging and wear are still largely unknown today. The conservator's intervention has become increasingly delicate, problematic, and experimental and requires not only technical knowledge of these materials but also a greater awareness of an artist's intellectual universe. Translated from Italian to reach a wider audience, Conserving Contemporary Art: Issues, Methods, Materials, and Research is one of the first books to give a comprehensive overview of the many considerations faced by the conservator of modern and contemporary art.
Rana Begum
Bangladeshi-born, British-based artist Rana Begum is internationally known for work that incorporates elements of painting, sculpture and architecture in a broad range of media in both small and monumental scale. She has completed a number of public commissions in Dubai, Cambridge and King's Cross, London and earlier this year won the prestigious Abraaj prize. Her solo exhibition Rana Begum: Space Light Colour runs at the Sainsbury Centre Norwich from 12 May to 1 October 2017 and she is the guest curator of Occasional Geometries, a group show, at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park running from 15 July to 29 October 2017.

Karen is Head of Art Law at Mishcon de Reya. She founded the Group in 1995. Karen represents clients across the globe, including artists and their estates, collectors, dealers, art foundations and charities, auction houses, galleries, museums and governments. She advises on a wide range of art related matters such as sale and purchase of art, artists' rights, their legacy, creation and management of artists estates, disputes over attribution, authenticity and ownership, cultural heritage matters and restitution of looted cultural property.
The legal directories describe Karen as 'pre-eminent in the field of art and cultural property'. She is regularly published and provides commentary to the media in relation to art related legal issues. She often features on "Front Row", BBC Radio 4's flagship culture programme and is quoted widely on art related legal issues in the Art Newspaper, the Times and New York Times. She is honorary legal counsel for the State Hermitage Foundation Museum, Israel. She is also a Trustee of Camden Arts Centre.
