Eric Skye's acoustic guitar wizardry defies easy categorization, weaving jazz, blues and pop genres into a unique tapestry of musical brilliance. Whether applied to familiar works or original compositions, Skye's symphony of string leaves the audience with a whole new listening framework for solo guitar. Based out of Portland, Eric has performed live on morning television for NBC and FOX, been featured on National Public Radio, Public Radio International, and done live radio broadcasts all over the US. Skye has been featured in magazines such as Guitar Player, Fretboard Journal, Premier Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Guitar World, Jazziz, Jazz Improv, and a host of international publications. He's performed at legendary venues such as Yoshi's in San Francisco, Club Passim in Boston, The Freight And Salvage in Berkeley, the Rio Theater in Santa Cruz, and the Alberta Rose Theater in Portland Oregon. Plus he is a regular at the NAMM shows in both Los Angeles and Nashville. In 2011 Eric was bestowed the rare honor of having the renowned Santa Cruz Guitar Company release a signature model guitar, the 00-skye, prized by players everywhere for its unique specs and unmatchable tone.

Earlier this year saw the release of his acoustic guitar duo album, Artifact, with L.A.-based session icon Mark Goldenberg, a longtime guitarist for Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and Linda Ronstadt, among others. The album was recently featured in a long insightful piece in Premier Guitar magazine. Skye's 2012 solo guitar release, A Different Kind Of Blue, a brilliant solo acoustic guitar re-imagining of Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue, was cited in Acoustic Guitar magazine's top ten albums of 2012.

In an unexpected departure from past projects, Skye's latest release, June Apple, is a collection of early American fiddle tunes arranged for mandolin and guitar. The album features Eric, in his alter ego mode as an oldtime/bluegrass flatpicking guitarist, along with the masterful mandolin work of Tim Connell.

Get ready for solo guitar like you've never heard it. You won't be disappointed!
