Kips Bay Sing (#3): Duruflé
Sing of the Duruflé Requiem, led by Deborah Simpkin King from Ember and accompanied by guest organist Claudia Dumschat, Organist and Choirmaster at The Church of the Transfiguration .
The Kips Bay Chorale hosts sing-throughs of choral gems, led by guest conductors and featuring professional soloists and section leaders. The sings give singers of all experiences the opportunity to read through a new work or refresh an old favorite. The conductor will lead a brief rehearsal of difficult spots for before conducting a complete read of the piece.
All Sings begin at 3:00 and are held at Good Shepherd. Light refreshments are served at the conclusion of each sing. Admission can be purchased in advance or at the door.
Admission:
$15 / $ 10 for students and seniors
$5 for those wishing to sit and listen
