In a sordid Paris tavern in 1789, on the night of the storming of the Bastille, various actors from local theaters are performing impromptu scenes of crime for the debased delectation of the slumming Parisian aristocracy. Confronting the concepts of truth and belief, uncertainty fluctuates between reality and illusion and in the end illusion, true or otherwise, bursts out into blood reality.
