CityDance Audition for 2017-2018 School Year

Led by Artistic Director Lorraine Spiegler, The CityDance School & Conservatory offers a well-rounded curriculum of Vaganova ballet training and technique based contemporary dance, rounded out by jazz, hip-hop and world dance forms. The Conservatory is a pre-professional training track with a curriculum designed to develop the next generation of performers, artists and innovators. Graduates have gained acceptance at some of the countrys most prestigious dance colleges, summer programs and professional companies.

We do allow for walkups, but online registration is encouraged and will make the audition process more seamless.

AUDITION SCHEDULE
Saturday, August 5:
Strathmore, Studio 304

Ages 8-10
Registration: 10:30am-11:00am
Audition (Ballet/Contemporary): 11:00am-12:00pm

Ages 11-14 *UPDATED*
Registration: 11:30-12:00pm
Audition (Ballet/Pointe/Contemporary): 12:00-2:00pm

Ages 15-19

DRESS CODE

Please bring a headshot and a full body shot, which does not need to be posed.

Female: black or navy leotard, pink convertible tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic straps, black dance shorts/leggings and bare feet for contemporary
Male: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank, black men's tights, black /white ballet shoes

At the conclusion of the audition, students accepted into the program will be sent individual class placement for the upcoming session.

PARKING

At our Strathmore location, there is free parking in the Grosvenor/Strathmore Metro parking garage and at the meters along Tuckerman Ln on weekends.
