The 6 - Singer Songwriter Showcase
Gable Music Ventures' singer songwriter showcase is well into its second year and we are so honored by the level of talent that has participated and worked with us to grow the monthly event. January is a dream lineup, read below for more information. Thanks to our event sponsor Extreme Pizza.

Featuring;

Angelee Gerovasiliou - www.angeleemusic.com
Angelee is a folk/pop singer and songwriter based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been providing Live Entertainment since 1999. Originally playing out of Blacksburg, Virginia, Angelee has played up and down the East Coast as well as Europe.

Jacopo De Nicola - www.jacopodenicola.com
Vocalist, songwriter, musician and sound designer Jacopo de Nicola brings forth an unique brew of styles and influences, carefully mixed into an explosive sonic cocktail. Drawing from Italian traditional songs, World Music, New Wave and Electronica, his "alternative transcendental folk" morphs into intense rhythmic songs, dreamy transcendental odysseys and introspective serenades where poignant lyrics embroider exotic sound scenarios

Sherman Hesse - http://www.shermanhesse.com/
Sherman Hesse (a.k.a Keith Hartman) may be an artist on the solo route, he falls into the singer-songwriter classification only by technicality. Most times, what sounds like a full band is only multiple takes of the multi-instrumentalist behind the drums, bass, piano, harmonica, acoustic and electric guitars of his debut album, Whatever Happens Happened. Born and raised in the woods of Virginia, Keith would eventually mesh his southern folk origins with a sunny alternative rock after moving to California at age eighteen. These diverse locations and cultures blend seamlessly in Hartman's persona and music, as evidenced by his first record. From the first acoustic twang of the album's opening riff to the frantic electric bass and concert snares of the final, climactic track, Hartman makes the coasts feel closer and run parallel.

Kyle Swartzwelder - www.kyleswartzwelder.com
A veteran of the folk scene, Kyle started out in the coffee shops around the University of Delaware with his father's 1968 Ovation Balladeer. After several years of cultivating his songwriting, Kyle moved on to the folk clubs and coffeehouses in the Philadelphia region and quickly developed a reputation as a top-notch songwriter and performer. 2008 saw the release of Kyle's first release, an eight song, self-titled record, on 13:13 Records. Kyle just released his fifth album Canadian Pacific.

Lili Anel - www.lilianel.org
Take the soulfulness of Bill Withers, the power and range of Anita Baker, the elegance of Sade, the rhythmic sense of Richie Havens, the songwriting of Carly Simon or Joni Mitchell and roll it all together and you might get an idea of what this Philadelphia-based singer songwriter is all about. Whether she's performing solo or with a rhythm section, Lili Añel's songs captivate her audience. A transplanted New Yorker, Lili considers herself a
Philadelphian and with good reason; venues like Tin Angel and World Café Live! have embraced her; WXPN has featured her. Defying categorization she calls her music a hybrid of "urban/acoustic/jazz/pop" combined with a powerfully unique vocal style bringing her to the forefront.

Tea Leigh - http://tealeigh.bandcamp.com/
Tea Leigh, from Denton TX, takes you to a simpler time through her warm and inviting performance. Living in Brooklyn NY, she works as a full time musician writing tunes you can sip tea to. For more information on Tea Leigh you can go to her bandcamp, or simply google her to get a glimpse of what's to come.
