New Strategies for Preventing Stroke in Atrial Fibrillation Patients
*NEW LOCATION* - This event will be held at the Museum of Ventura County.
Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) affects roughly 2.7 million people in the U.S. alone. This erratic heartbeat can allow blood to pool, form a clot, and travel to the brain. Because of this, patients with AFib are five times more likely to have a stroke, but 75% of AFib-related strokes are preventable. Join us as Dr. Dukes reveals new strategies to prevent stroke in AFib patients.

Dr. Jonathan Dukes specializes in electrophysiology. He received his medical degree from UC San Francisco, completed residency training in internal medicine at The John Hopkins Hospital, and an electrophysiology fellowship at UC San Francisco. Dr. Dukes is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine, and is an active member of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff.
