Set against the strange and exuberant backdrop of current American culture and politics, "The Golden House" marks Salman Rushdies triumphant return to literary fiction. The result is a modern epic of love and terrorism, loss and reinventiona powerful, timely story told with the daring and panache that make celebrated novelist Salman Rushdie a force of light in our dark new age.

The proceeds from this event will benefit the Library Foundation's literacy programs.
