The Minor Key Concert Series at The Old Church was created to showcase some of the best singer-songwriters. Genres will range, but the stories will linger.

Canadian award-winning singer, songwriter, producer Brock Zeman has built a reputation as a writer of great depth and passion, through his thoughtful, often personal songs. But hes got a rough, rockin side as well. He could easily be the bastard son of Lucinda Williams and Steve Earle, with a gravelly Tom Waits voice. Widely regarded as one of Canadas most prolific songwriters and best-kept secrets, Brock has released 11 full-length albums.

Brock has shared the stage with some of the top talent of the contemporary roots and Americana scenes, including Steve Earle, Chris Knight, David Olney, Blue Rodeo, Will Kimbrough, Gurf Morlix, Lynn Miles, Fred Eaglesmith, Corb Lund, Toby Keith, Prairie Oyster and the Blackie & Rodeo Kings.

Blair Hogan is Brocks constant collaborators and one of the busiest session musicians in the Ottawa area, with good reason. Hogan has a great melodic sensibility to his guitar playing. He adds to a song in a way that can be both unobtrusive and in your face at the same time, weaving around lyrics with well crafted hooks full of delay reverb.
