DIY Herbal Brewing and Infused Wines

Have you ever wondered how to make your own herbal beers and wines? This class will cover basic brewing processes and equipment needed for both, and the difference that makes beer beer and wine wine. This first part of the class is instructional and youll get handouts covering step by step instructions as well as resources for further information.

The second part of the class is hands on and teaches you how to make infused wines with either your own brews or store bought bottles. There will be a variety of herbs available to mix and match as we create our own combinations. These can either be tasty, for fun, or contain herbs for health. Making formulas soaked in wine were herbal medicines tinctures before distilling became a thing and this tradition goes back thousands of years. Bring a bottle of wine that you like to use as your base and a big jar to mix in. Well go over some basic herbal energetics and useful herbs for those that would like suggestions for wines for health. There will also be a handout on basic formula construction. There will be some examples to sample so you can see how tasty it can be to make infused wines.
