Since 1995 the Miró Quartet has been praised for their exciting performances and deeply musical interpretations. Miró Quartet performs throughout the world and has taken first prizes at several national and international competitions, including the Banff International String Quartet Competition, the Naumburg Chamber Music Competition. The group became the first ensemble ever to be awarded the coveted Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2005. The quartet serves as the Faculty Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Texas at Austins Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music.
