Fresh Abalone and Champagne Feast
EBI dad and abalone diver, Matthew Smith, will freedive all weekend to bring back this delicacy for 12 lucky families to enjoy. Parents will sip champagne in a relaxed backyard setting, while kids jump away in the bouncy house. Kid friendly food and discussion of the thrills (and perils) of this popular sport are also included. Want to add to the abalone pile? Interested divers are welcome to join (at their own risk). Abalone is a wild catch in the ocean in a shell and not inspected or regulated. It also contains iodine so those with iodine shellfish allergy should avoid.
