John Hall to perform at Triform Camphill Communitys 15th Annual Benefit Concert

We are hosting a special benefit concert on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Triform Phoenix Center located at 20 Triform Road, Hudson, NY. The program features the music of John Hall with a performance by Triforms students with special needs who form The Triform Bell Choir. Proceeds from this event generate much needed funds to help the community with various initiatives. All proceeds this year will be in support of and to strengthen programs for students with special needs at Triform.

Best known as the founder of the band Orleans, with hits including Still The One, and Dance With Me, John co-wrote Janis Joplins Half Moon, Steve Wariner's #1 country hit "You Can Dream of Me," and also Power, which became the theme of the NO NUKES concerts in the 1970s. John has collaborated in the studio or on the stage with Little Feat, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Graham Nash, Chet Atkins, Carly Simon

His environmental concerns led him into community activism, which also got him on the road into politics, first serving in the Ulster County, New York legislature, then as trustee and president of the Saugerties school board. Hall won a seat in Congress in 2006, and returned to music in 2011 with Orleans.

John is looking forward to taking the book on the road where hell tell stories, play songs, sign books, and talk with fans and anyone interested in crossing from a "normal" career to politics. Johns optimism comes through in stories from his life in the musical and political worlds in STILL THE ONE: A ROCKnROLL JOURNEY TO CONGRESS AND BACK.

The program will be followed by a strawberry shortcake social. An assortment of Triform Marketplace items including products from the weavery, bakery and pottery studio will also be on display and available for purchase.
