Meeting Across the Water at the Homegrown Coffeehouse
Meeting Across the Water was THE smash hit at this years New Years Needham. The band jumps headfirst into the pool of American Gospel music, bringing together influences from blues, folk, jazz, and Black and White spiritual traditions. The result is a dynamic, harmony-filled, poignant, rhythmic, and uplifting experience, with each member contributing in different ways to the band's unique sound. Louise Grasmere, vocals, percussion and guitar, has been a principal soloist at Boston area churches, and with the Mystic Chorale, and has two critically acclaimed albums. Jonathan Singleton, keyboards and vocals, is the music director at 12th Baptist Church in Roxbury, and is an award-winning gospel choir conductor and Berklee professor.
