The East Bay fine dining scene joins local community organizations for restaurateur Charlie Hallowell's third season of the successful Sunday Suppers series. Launched in May 2014, this event now occurs every other month and brings together spectacular food and good company to raise money for a different East Bay organization working on behalf of the community. To date, we have raised over $170K for a number of great causes.
Join us May 21st at Pizzaiolo, to support the amazing work of East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, dedicated to the support, protection, and advocacy of the rights of immigrants and refugees. Founded in 1982, EBSC offers sanctuary, solidarity, community organizing assistance, and legal services to those escaping war, terror, political persecution, intolerance, exploitation, and other expressions of violence.
Tickets cost $60-100 per person, wine included, for a multicourse, prix-fixe meal.
Charlie and representatives from East Bay Sanctuary Covenant will share information about their work, and we will be raising additional funds at the event for the organization. Signature cocktails may be ordered throughout the night at the cash bar 100% of the proceeds will also be donated to the organization.
