David Byrne's CONTEMPORARY COLOR at Martha **One Night Only**

The Philly Premiere of David Byrne's new concert film fantastically merging the unlikely marriage of live music (St. Vincent, tUnE-yArDs, Byrne, Ad-Rock) with high school color guard teams.

For one night only, Tuesday, April 4, Martha will turn the lights down even lower to present David Byrne's CONTEMPORARY COLOR (2016). Thanks to the fine people at Oscilloscope we are able to present the brand new concert documentary in a unique space in Philly that is fitting for such a visual and aural feast. Come experience what David Fear of Rolling Stone calls "a transcendental experience" and the "STOP MAKING SENSE of color guard rock docs!"

Not only will we be screening the film on Martha's typical night off, but the bar will be open with drink specials all night! Feel free to bring your own snacks as the kitchen will not be open. Although there may be some tasty treats for those in attendance... The film magic begins at 7:30PM sharp! Doors will be at 6:00PM with first come, first serve seating and a chance to grab a drink. We definitely recommend arriving early as seats will fill up quickly. Tickets will be sold in advance only online through Brown Paper Tickets. If any tickets remain the night of the screening, they will be sold at the door and be CASH ONLY.

CONTEMPORARY COLOR is a performance event and now a major motion picture inspired by the phenomenon of color guard, colloquially known as "the sport of the arts"conceived by David Byrne as a way to bring greater attention to this dazzling, but underappreciated art form. Ten 20-40 person teams from the US and Canada performed at Brooklyns Barclays Center and Torontos Air Canada Centre, alongside an extraordinary array of musical talentperforming together live.
