Be Green Hub Speaker Lunch Series: Strategic Alliances and Partnerships for Startups
Speakers: Ari Ghosal and Philip Niedermair, Whiteford Taylor Preston
Entrepreneurs tend to do everything themselves in connection with their start-ups, often without realizing that there are solutions that may help leverage their limited resources, thereby reducing costs and workload and enabling them to focus on other critical tasks. Strategic alliances arise between companies through formal understandings and formulas that allow them to exchange business benefits such as marketing and distribution. As a result, such arrangements are often highly beneficial to start-ups. This program will provide a useful guide to strategic alliances, including how to identify them and effectively manage them to your benefit.
Ari Ghosal serves as Counsel in Whiteford Taylor Preston's corporate, labor and employment, government contracts, and intellectual property groups. He represents companies throughout their life cycle, from start-up to maturity, in a variety of business and employment matters. Mr. Ghosal was named a Power Player Finalist by Washington SmartCEO Magazine in 2014 and 2015, and he made the 2013 Hot List in Lawyers of Color. Recently, Mr. Ghosal was asked to serve on the Diversity Committee of the Bar Foundation of Montgomery County.
Philip Niedermair serves as the Managing Director of Strategic Alliances for Whiteford Taylor Preston. His role includes market development with a focus on building alliances and relationships. Philip is an experienced corporate strategist, having worked throughout the US and Europe consulting in sales, marketing, operations, strategic planning, negotiations and research for the leadership of many firms.
