Small Business Lunch at Halls with Dave Echols

The King Street Marketing Group and Halls Chophouse are pleased to welcome Dave Echols, President and General Manager of the Charleston RiverDogs, as our guest speaker Thursday, March 2 at Small Business Lunch at Halls.

Last season, under Echols leadership, the RiverDogs welcomed more than 293,000 fans at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park for the first time in their history.

Echols enters his 26th season in professional baseball, a career that began in 1992 as an intern with the Fayetteville (NC) Generals of the South Atlantic League. During the course of his time in baseball, he has served in various capacities including that of director of marketing for the AAA Columbus (OH) team of the International League.

Echols joined the RiverDogs in 1999 as an assistant general manager, and departed in 2002 to become general manager of the Brockton (MA) Rox of the Northeast League, and was honored in 2003 as Executive of the Year of that league.

He returned to Charleston as general manager in 2004 and now begins his 17th season with the RiverDogs. Echols has guided the club through some of their most successful seasons since in the last 13 years.

In his first season, he helped the club host the highly successful 2004 SAL All-Star Game, and he also earned 2013 South Atlantic League General Manager of the Year honors during his tenure. In 2016, Echols was named President and General Manager of the club.

With Echols at the helm, the RiverDogs have been honored with multiple industry awards for excellence in promotions, marketing and ballpark operations. Echols twice has been named Executive of the Year in the South Atlantic League. He is a native of Delaware, Ohio and a graduate of the University of Dayton.

Each month, Small Business Lunch at Halls features a distinguished speaker from the business, civic or political arenas upstairs at Halls Chophouse with an imaginative three-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Adam Jakins.

Tickets are $31 per person plus tax and processing fee for the luncheon. Doors open at 11:45 a.m. and lunch is served promptly at noon. Limited seating provides an intimate experience with each speaker.

Halls Chophouse is located at 434 King Street in downtown Charleston. Convenient parking is available at the Visitors Center Garage on Ann Street between King and Meeting Streets.
