Melodia Women's Choir "Awakening the Spirit"

Melodia is excited to announce its soaring concert featuring the U.S. premiere of John Rutter's "Visions," a powerful work that examines the spiritual, religious, and historic importance of Jerusalem as a symbol of "a utopian ideal of heavenly peace and seraphic bliss for redeemed humanity" in four movements. Featuring soloist Areta Zhulla on violin, string quintet, harp and choir.

Also on the program is "The Dancers" from notable Welsch composer, Grace Williams (1906-1977), and women's choir favorite Choral Hymns from the "Rig Veda" by Gustav Holst.

Please join Melodia Women's Choir of NYC April 29 (Holy Apostles Church) and 30, 2017 (West End Collegiate Church). Reception with light snacks and drinks to follow.
