A Night Of Comedy with Joe Sib and special guests Grant Cotter and Helen Hong and photo exhibit with Jai Tanju.
Joe Sib is a man who wears many hats. So many hats that he doesn't get much sleepand that's just the way he likes it. Sib spent the 90s playing in punk rock bands with a relentless touring around the world, then moved behind the scenes as co-owner of Side One Dummy Records Ever the music enthusiast with a wealth of stories only a touring musician could boast, Sib began hosting the Complete Control radio show in 2004, which airs in seven cities across the country, including 98.7FM in Los Angeles. Instead of abating Sib's energy, the show simply added more fuel to the fire and spawned not only his one-man show California Calling: A Story of Growing Up Punk Rockbut also an unexpected leap into standup comedy. Musician, label owner, radio host, stand-up comic, a husband and father of two no wonder Joe Sib never sleeps these days! If you get the chance be sure and check out Sib on stage performing and hosting his own DIY take on comedy, breaking rules and making his own."At this point in my life," reflects Sib, "there's no turning back. My kids' friends are always saying to them, 'Why is your dad always dressed in black? Your dad skateboards?! Did your dad just call you 'dude?'" That's Joe Sib.
Grant Cotter: Grant is a regular comedian on 'Comedy Juice' a show that Sirius/XM Satellite radio calls "The best Stand-up show in the country" and has been featured on CNN and US Weekly. The OC Weekly recently wrote, "His raunchy subject matter and quick wit will surely leave you in stitches." Grant Cotter has performed alongside the biggest and best comedians in the country such as Dane Cook, Ron White, Louis CK, Dave Attell and Daniel Tosh to name a few.
Helen Hong is a comedian, TV personality, dating coach, and star of TV Guide Network's "Count it Down" series and Logo Channel's reality dating series "Setup Squad." Helen's adorable stage presence and mischievous point of view have landed her on The Huffington Post's Favorite Female Comedians list and a profile in The New York Times. She's been featured on Fuse, E!, TLC and PBS.
Jai tanju comes from a line of artists. His late father sinan cemil tanju & grandfather haluk cemil tanju were both respected painters from turkey. Born 1968 in long island New York . Raised in san jose ca. At 25 , jai started taking pictures with a camera his granfather gave him. He took a photography class at a local community college where he got a D-. The rest is history! Jai has worked for Slap magazine, Thrasher, Transworld, Uno, Grey, the Skateboard mag. He has also published many books of his photography and curated photography shows around the world.
