DRMS' (pronounced Dreams) sound has been described as what would happen if Billie Holiday was selected to perform in an electro-afro-pop infused band curated by David Lynch.

Press Quotes:
"Killer lyrics with the insinuating pulse of vibraphones." - Andy Gilbert, San Francisco Chronicle

"Of the vast wasteland that the Internet's become, you can still find a few undiscovered gems if you look hard enough  and Dreams (DRMS) is a perfect example"- MTV Hive, Mike Ayers

"The voice of Billie Holiday blended with a drop of folk and an electro-infused ka-pow of Afro-pop. It's the stuff of dreams, isn't it? Sort of. Dreams (DRMS), besides being the mind's subconscious porthole, is a new East Bay indie supergroup." - Music Editor, Emily Savage, of San Francisco Bay Guardian

Like a porch swing on a warm summer night, Annie and The Beekeepers manage to be simultaneously comfortable and thrilling. Annie Lynch's lilting voice surrounds you and flows over the Americana arrangements like the breeze as her detailed lyrics entice you to lean forward and beg for more.

Beginning her love of live music after eavesdropping on rehearsals of the Cape Cod Little Fiddlers, Annie relentlessly begged her parents for a violin and squeaked her way through childhood lessons. She credits the music of Joni Mitchell with opening up her ears, heart and voice, leading her to begin singing and then picking up guitar. By the age of 14 she began to write original material.

Relocating from her native Cape Cod to NY by way of Boston, Annie refined her Americana/Folk sound, earning comparisons to Neko Case, Dawn Landes and Gillian Welch. She had the pleasure of collaborating with the likes of Grammy-nominated producer-engineer Jack Gauthier on her self-titled debut album which received rave reviews from publications such as Boston Globe and Paste Magazine, which raved, "Annie Lynch shows off her remarkable vocal prowess on a debut album featuring lyrics that dance gently over sweet guitar picking. Lynch creates symphonic, slow- burning tunes that strike a lovely balance between heavy emotion and light, sparse sound." That album (as well as subsequent releases) is still regularly aired on Boston radio amongst several national stations. Backed by a group who became known as "The Beekeepers," Annie released the EP Squid Hell Sessions and toured nationally in support. Annie and The Beekepers have graced the stages of venues such as Bowery Ballroom, Town Hall, The Berklee Performance Center and The Ryman Auditorium and festivals such as SXSW, Philadelphia Folk Festival, The Boston Fok Festival, and Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion. They have shared the stage with Josh Ritter, Justin Townes Earle, David Wax Museum, Joe Pug, Dr. Dog's Scott McMicken and The Low Anthem.

Currently consisting of Annie (lead vocalist/guitarist), Jeni Magana (bassist/vocalist) and Andrew Michael Buri (multi-instrumentalist/vocalist), and Javier Cruz (drums/vocalist) Annie and The Beekeepers are releasing their latest album, My Bonneville, on August 28th. Influenced by the wonderful songwriters and musicians who have shaped the Americana/Folk traditions, the group enjoys experimenting within the genre and cross-pollinating styles and sounds. Annie's smooth vocals dance over guitar work appreciated by Americana pickers of all ages, embellished and thickened by adornments such as banjos, horns, and tight vocal harmonies. The title track drives listeners to clap their hands, stomp their feet, and sing along about "The things we did in the dark in My Bonneville."

"Annie's voice took me entirely by surprise. It has the sort of deep smooth sound you don't often hear from such a young performer and it made me nostalgic for the great female singers I grew up with (Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant, Sarah Mclachlan, etc.)."  The Big Red Apple

"Annie's voice lifts up the listener and spirits you away to another place  another time How far away? That depends on the set length! I compare Lynch's singing voice favorably to that of Jenny Lewis or perhaps a cross between the talented Lewis and beautiful singer Dawn Landes. Comparisons may be made, but the music and voice must be heard to be truly appreciated." Ryan's Smashing Life

"Lynch's understated vocals and songwriting are reminiscent of Jolie Holland or the Be Good Tanyas"  Boston Globe
