Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble presents "If Music Be the Food of Love"

Join the musicians of Opus 7 for an exciting evening of music celebrating the confluence of music, food, and love. We will include works by local artists, and music from elsewhere in the United States and the world. Bern Herbolsheimer explores Latin American cuisine with "Frutas Tropicales"; our resident composer John Muehleisen contributes songs of love, and a tribute to our gardens in "Eat Your Vegetables!" From elsewhere we have varied works by Ward Swingle, Gustav Holst, Daniel Gawthrop, Paul Carey, and settings of the lovely Shakespeare-inspired poem "If Music Be the Food of Love" by David Dickau and Donald McCullough.

Opus 7 was formed by Loren Ponten in 1992 and features some of the Northwest's finest choral artists. The group is known for its glorious sound, ardent musicality, and innovative programming of late 19th-, 20th-, and 21st-century choral repertoire.
