HAPPY * CRY * PRETTY! is an 8-week performance series presented by TWEED TheaterWorks, Kevin Malony Artistic Director.

"Poor Baby Bree" (Bree Benton), an archetypal ragamuffin in the traditions of the Little Match Girl, the Little Rascals and the Bowery Boys, performs obscure, pathetic ballads and comic novelty songs from the late-nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries, along with monologues from the vaudeville and pre-vaudeville eras, and one made-to-order monologue by author and playwright Trav S.D. (No Applause--Just Throw Money: The Book That Made Vaudeville Famous). Musical director Franklin Bruno accompanies on piano.

Bree Benton ("Poor Baby Bree") draws from traditions of vaudeville and classic cinema to perform forgotten, late-nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century songs from her personal archive of antique sheet music and recordings. She has performed at BAM, Symphony Space, Joe's Pub and various downtown venues, and is a recipient of Time Out New York's annual cabaret award.

All Sales Are Final.

Seating at Pangea is communal. Other guests may be seated at the table. There is a $20 per person food or beverage minimum at the tables. DINNER SEATING BEGINS AT 6:00PM.

Please arrive one half hour prior to the show and allow additional time if you are planning to have a dinner.

Late arrivals will be seated at managements discretion.
