DUO SONIDOS

Duo Sonidos brings together the talents of violinist William Knuth and guitarist Adam Levin.
Based in Boston and Madrid, the duo is at the vanguard of the guitar chamber music world. In November 2010 they released their debut album, Duo Sonidos, which includes works by Manuel de Falla and Salvador Brotons, as well as a recent commission by Eduardo Morales-Caso. Awarded 1st Prize at the Luys Milan International Chamber Music Competition in Valencia, Spain, they completed an extensive tour of Spain in late 2011. This year the duo performs an eclectic program of newly commissioned works along with masterpieces by Robert Beaser, Arcangelo Corelli, G.F Handel and David del Puerto.

While very new, their music is also approachable and inviting to listeners not usually interested in classical performances. This commitment to creating a new body of chamber music has led to collaborations with composers including Jan Freidlin (Israel), Jorge Variego (Argentina) and Jorge Muñiz (Spain-USA). Levin and Knuth are both Fulbright Scholars who researched music performance in Madrid, Spain and Vienna, Austria respectively.
