. . . Solo Sundays, S.F.'s premier monthly showcase, presents select samplings of veteran virtuosos and top emerging talent in the intimate Stage Werx Theatre now located in The Mission. Beyond stand-up and storytelling, solo theater creates casts of thousands - plus special effects - all bursting from a single performer. The results are hilarious and heartbreaking, passionate and provocative, ablaze with personal visions. Solo Sundays is produced by Ty McKenzie & Bruce Pachtman.

Wouldn't it be really cool to live on a resort island and have your mother as your high school English teacher? Okay, maybe not. Out in the hallway this big kid with greasy hands and a beard comes up behind me, snags me by the back of my underwear, and while dangling me by my strangled testicles says "you look just like her!" And that's the easy part. Things can go violently wrong in an isolated & edgy community that loves gossip and tragedy. But at least you can write a good essay about Fate & Free Will.

Vanessa is new to the Mommy club and she's trying to figure out all the rules. Balancing the crazy Mother's Groups, play dates, organic baby food making, baby sign language, sleep training, teething, household chores, work, friends, date nights with her husband, taking showers and sanity. Being a Modern day hot mama can take a lot out of you but with the right attitude and some good wine it's manageable, well sometimes.

Stage Werx Theatre is located in the Mission, a section of San Francisco where it is notoriously difficult to find parking. Please allow yourself extra time to find parking. Please note: in respect for the performers and the audience we will not seat people once the show has started.
