Environmentally Friendly Landscapes

Landscape designer Bob Goodhart will discuss the nine characteristics of an environmentally friendly and beneficial landscape. these characteristics can be adapted for landscaping at your home, orchard or farm. He will give design recommendations and discuss the basics of a sustainable landscape maintenance plan.

Bob Goodhart is a life-long gardener. He retired form the Army with 25 years of service, has had a landscape business since 1991, and was Christopher Newport University's landscape advisor until 2007. He and his wife, Sally, retired to Lancaster, where he volunteers in the Heirloom Seed Project at Landis Valley.
