The King and Queen of Never Nod have a new baby, Princess Briar-Rose! When the bad witch Evilina, who lives with her cat and pet spider, isn't invited to the christening she sets a terrible curse on the poor young princess. Sixteen years later, its up to Prince Alexander to come to Briar-Rose's rescue and the court's too...for they are all asleep.
