2016 Harvest Festival

On Sunday, November 13, Tompkins Corners Cultural Center (TCCC) will present its annual Harvest Festival in the historic former Tompkins Corners Methodist Church, which has been repurposed as a cultural center by TCCC, a non-profit group formed to contribute to the cultural life of Putnam Valley and nearby neighbors. This years Festival is dedicated to the volunteers who support both TCCC and the wider community, and members of the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department and the Volunteer Ambulance Corps are invited to attend as guests of the Center.

Harvest Festival 2016 will bring back some favorite area performers to celebrate another successful year of cultural offerings in this historic structure that was built in 1891 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Joining us in this historic venue, now renown for its acoustics and for a rich range of musical genres, will be the Dream and Peoples Choirs directed by Cat Guthrie; John Cohen of the New Lost City Ramblers and the Down Hill Strugglers; Tim Pitt of A Simple Heart; Pat Cummings and Family and their Rhythm and Blues; Alice Backer and Phyllis Elkin of CrossStitch, who perform in the Brothers tradition; and the Kitchen Table Band, with Maaike Hoekstra, Jan Hoekstra, Drew Howland and Dennis Klubnick and Friends.

TCCC programs are funded in part by private donations and the Putnam Arts Council's Arts Link Grant Program through the NYS Council on the Arts with support from Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the NYS Legislature and with public funds from Putnam County.
