Twelve Fairfax County dance companies offer a unique opportunity to appreciate a showcase of dance styles. The dance companies are:

* The Kintz-Mejia Academy of Ballet
* Virginia Ballet Company

Formed in 2008 as a community voice for dance, the Fairfax County Dance Coalition focuses on County-wide performance opportunities, improving performance venues for dance, emerging choreography, advanced dance education, and enriching the cultural fabric of Fairfax County.

An added highlight of the Gala will be the announcement of the second annual $500 scholarship award to a 2012 - 2013 Fairfax County Dance Coalition member graduating high school senior who plans to continue to pursue studies in Dance.
