Earth-friendly Landscaping workshop and work party
Join Master Gardener, landscape designer and gardening coach, Beth Goodnight for a 45 minute talk on Earth-friendly Landscaping at 6pm on Thursday, August 16 at the natural garden demonstration site at Pacific Park. The talk will be followed by a two-hour weeding work party, so dress appropriately and bring water.
The demonstration site includes eight landscape garden installations: Dog-friendly * Edibles/Herbs * Wildlife Garden * Native Plants * Lawn Alternatives Xeriscaping * Rain Garden * Beneficial Bug Attracting. The workshop will include the basics in caring for your yard in cooperation with Mother Nature. After the talk we will do a little weeding in the demonstration gardens. There will be time to ask questions, and Master Gardeners will be on hand to assist. No tools are necessary. If you have a favorite pair of work gloves, feel free to bring them.
