About Yusef Muhammad
In 2014, Yusef Muhammad received from SCORE, the 10 Years of Service Award, and in 2013 the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for International Trade and the 2012 SBA Minority Small Business Champion of the Year Award.
Mr. Muhammad is the CEO of Frequency Communications Inc., the owner operator of multiple television stations that includes The Family Channel KUGB TV 28.5 Houston and American Business TV. Mr. Muhammad has been in charge of business operations, television programming, syndication, advertising, media and business consulting for more than 20 years.
In 1996, Mr. Muhammad formed Frequency Communications Inc., specializing in television production and syndication for affiliate stations and pay TV providers. Muhammad then co-founded in 2006, The Black Broadcasting Network (BBN) a 24-hour, cable television channel making history when it launched in 2009 as the fourth independently owned and operated cable television channel for Black-Americans on television.
